SPREAD THE DAMN WORD

Bape has matured so much in the fashion industry. From streetwear to tailor fit suits. I remember when I first got introduced to Bathing Ape with their spunky hiphop style, to being indorsed by so many celebrities and now to their Comme de Garcons collaboration.
This collaboration is the best from both worlds, the spunky style of Bape with the clean sheik style of Comme de Garcon. I love these two brands, and I think this going to be an impressive collaboration.
Recently, I’ve been blog jumping and seen some of the Bape x Comme de Garcons shirts that they apparently released and these shirts look pretty awesome. However, I stumbled upon this website called HIGHSNOBIETY, and they have released this statement:
“We just got word from the Bape Marketing department that the t-shirts shown here are actually fake. Sorry for the confusion guys and congrats to who ever did it, they came out pretty good. Hopefully we can soon show you the real collaboration between the two brands. The official collection by the two brands will be revealed on March 8th, 2012, and seems to be exclusive to the new Dover Street Market Ginza. For now only the above mashed logo design is official.”
I am glad that I saw this statement regarding this collaboration. SIGH! I was going to buy one of the shirts. My advise for all the fashion forward people is be careful in where you buy your things and DON’T BUY FAKES!
5 years ago I got introduced to this brand called Team Manila Lifestyle. Right then and there I fell in love with their funky designs. Looking at their designs brings back memories of my experience in the Philippines, and how I lived the urban lifestyle and experienced culture of the city of Manila, the capital of the Philippines, and I totally miss all of the noise, the smells, and the friendly Filipino’s.
All their designs has different interpretations of national icons to silhouettes of odds and ends from everyday life in the city’s streets. It includes anything and everything that represent life in Manila, from the iconic transportation the jeepney, from the road signs to the national heroes of the Philippines.
They sell shirts, totes, pouches, wallets, bags, limited edition prints, artwork and other lifestyle accessories. They have a wide range of products from fashion and hobbies to home accessories. They have 5 stores in the Philippines, with other resellers all over the world such as USA, Canada, France, Dubai, and Singapore. So please visit their site and please support your fellow Kababayan’s “fellow Filipino”, Team Manila! <—- WEBSITE

Bourgeoisie Jordan Junkies, you better be saving up your pennies. O. G. Air Jordan IV returned for the 23rd anniversary. I AM SO EXCITED! This will be the succeeding release of the retro of the white/cement grey, since the original concept from the popularized “His Airness” back in 1989 by Spike Lee, Do the Right Thing. These Jordan’s have been retroed once since 1999, just one year since MJ’s retirement.
A bold red tongue highlights Jordan’s signature look with cement grey and black accents throughout. Wouldn’t that look good on your foot? Daaaayyyuuumm! It would! These release dates are sometime in February, so stay tuned.

You should be excited for this spring because there are some crazy $*!% coming out. This everlasting Air Max 1 is coming back early this spring. Nike has just released Air Max 1 “Black/ Reflective” for the Sportswear for Spring Collection. Being born in the 80s and remembering Nike was the first shoe to a visible airbag, and now for comeback with new color scheme. Coming back with the classic black look, adding the charcoal and reflective 3M along the mid-foot panel and at the heel as well, should make all the sneaker heads drool, and all the runners ecstatic for their nighttime runs to that nearby 7-11. Keep an eye these ones. Maybe TUB might order these ones. Stay tuned for more sneakers coming out…
When I was younger I was very fond with people wearing sunglasses. I thought they were a celebrity, or someone who was popular that was trying to hide their identity, beside what they actually carry out. But besides that, here are my top favorite glasses of all time.

OAKLEY’S –FROG SKIN GLASSES
Growing up listening to Hip- Hop. I remember RUN-D. M. C. wearing these awesome sunglasses. I really wanted these sunglasses. I begged my parents, but they didn’t budged. These sunglasses are another part of pop-culture, and it represents the 80’s. I wish I owned these sunglasses, so I can own a piece of history. I wish I had all of these colors and the limited editions. Someone get some FROG SKIN SUNGLASSES!

RAY-BAN’S -WAYFARER GLASSES
I bought these glasses out of impulse. The influence of celebrities made me go a get my self these sunglasses. The variety of style and color makes it more fun to wear. Out of all honesty these glasses are not that bad. Price wise and looks wise. The price ranges from $145- $160 Canadian. Ray-ban is consistent with style with exceptional quality and comfort.

RAY-BAN’S –CLUB MASTERS
Classics. I am so in love with these glasses, and I wish they would suit my face. Looking back these glasses were so famous in the 50s and 80s, and they made a massive come back. They are so unique, they bring back retro to tedious generic sunglasses. They represent a lifestyle that pops out in crowd. It has one of kind framing, and very durable. These glasses come variety of colors and sizes of frames. I still wish I owned these glasses for my collection.

Winnipeg endures very cold winters, occasionally rather brutal winters. Some Canadians know us as the city Winterpeg, Manitoba. Winnipeg snow can reach depths of greater than 15 cm. Our winters are dangerous, having the life threatening combination of low temperature and high wind speed. Winnipeg winter weather can get below minus 30. I KNOW, IT IS RIDICULOUS! Keeping these weather conditions in mind, I will show you some tips of handling our glorious freezing Winnipeg winters with the hint of my own personal style.

The students of School of Fashion Arts (SoFA) - http://sofamanila.com/ did an amazing magazine pictorial. The theme of this pictorial was the “Modern Hawaiian”. The story behind this pictorial is that there were two Hawaiian tribe’s men that decided to go the big city to conquer and influence others. When they arrived in the big city, they seduced the women to fall in love their rich culture and inevitably the unique lifestyle.
This is a great modern Hawaiian look fused with the modern Aztec tribal look. I love the bright colorful prints and the tribal tattoos, and great choice of accessory to enhance the models. I am really proud my cousins Coyi and Julio, this is an awesome pictorial.

Ms. Donatella Versace is back with another collaboration with H&M. The Cruise Collection for brings the hot summer breeze back to our Winnipeg cold winter. This collection will be available online on January 19th exclusively to the European market. Unfortunately Winnipeg does not have an H&M, but soon enough we will get one. PATIENCE is key.
The men’s collection brings back the classic Versace print to the variety of their contemporary tailored suits, cardigans, denim dress shirts, cotton shirts, alongside pleat-front shorts and my favorite, the trunks. The women’s collection focuses on a very light and feminine approach; prints on the dresses, tops, lingerie and cashmere cardigans. They also offer jeans, bikinis, and accessories such as bracelets, totes, flats, and pumps.
